I’m astounded at what Newt is getting hit with on all sides. Real problems with backup from named sources, too. And in this case, ER is right about the origins. Some of it is coming from liberal sources, but a lot of it now is definitely coming from Republicans, particularly from Romney and significant enclaves of Republican ideas.
Seriously, my fingers would wear out before I could post all the links. Drudge has many of them. The National Review is another primary source.
